California Family Institute is excited to announce that Randi Dentt will be joining our clinical team.
Randi is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee under the supervision of Dr. Jerriann Peters, PsyD, MFT #47534. Randi is a second year graduate student attending Pepperdine University, studying clinical psychology in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. She is focused on working with a wide range of clients and is theoretically grounded in narrative practices. Randi works from a strengths-based model where she is compassionate, empathic, and curious to collaborate with clients from a non-pathologizing approach and is multicultural and LGBTQ affirming.
Randi is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biological Anthropology and gained research experience while studying a number of primate species for the Conservation Research Department at the San Diego Zoo. Randi’s experience as a licensed Pharmacy Technician, a sales representative, and her volunteer work for a woman’s recovery home in San Diego allowed her to become fascinated with human relationships and interconnectedness. She is excited for the opportunity to make meaning of her professional work as a therapist and values the privilege of connecting with clients and hearing their stories.
